The rapid development of digital technologies has transformed Human Resource Management (HRM), particularly through the automation of routine and data-intensive HR processes. This study examines the role of HR automation in improving process speed, operational efficiency and accuracy in organizations in the manufacturing sector of Hyderabad. The study focuses on recruitment, payroll processing, attendance management, employee data management and performance evaluation. A descriptive and analytical research design is adopted using primary and secondary data. The underlying study document reports a structured questionnaire and a sample of 200 respondents, comprising HR professionals and employees working in organizations that have implemented or are familiar with automated HR systems. Percentage analysis, mean scores and correlation analysis are identified as the principal statistical tools. The empirical tables supplied in the study indicate that 70% of respondents agree or strongly agree that HR automation improves efficiency, 72.5% agree or strongly agree that it enhances accuracy, and 70% agree or strongly agree that it reduces HR workload. The study further identifies employee resistance, inadequate technical expertise, implementation costs and data-security concerns as major adoption challenges. The findings suggest that automation can reduce repetitive administrative work, improve consistency and support faster HR workflows, while human judgment remains important for consequential decisions. The paper concludes that manufacturing organizations can obtain greater value from HR automation through employee training, phased implementation, stronger data-security mechanisms and a balanced human–technology approach. The paper also identifies opportunities for future empirical research on long-term outcomes, SMEs, comparative industries and emerging technologies.
